Devotions

I was reading my Bible the other day and I found this chapter very encouraging. I wanted to share it with you.                                 Psalm 32:1-11

Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.
When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. “Selah”
Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD”– and you forgave the guilt of my sin.”Selah”
Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you while you may be found; surely when the mighty waters rise, they will not reach him.
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. “Selah”
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.
Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridleor they will not come to you.
Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.
Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!

Amazing God!

I was at a Bible club yesterday, and my leader was talking about how God is all- knowing. He said that some scientists in Australia estimated the amount of stars they could see with their eyes and telescopes. They came up with the number of approximately 70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Surely God is an Amazing creator! So every time you look up into the sky at night and see that stars, remember who made them and how an Amazing God He is. Here are some pictures of the stars.

Lest We Forget

Since yesterday was Remembrance Day, I wanted to say something about it and share the poem written by John McCrae ,”In Flander’s Fields.”

I hope and pray that in the following years, people will continue to remember those who fought for their country and set it free. The first Remembrance or Veterans Day was celebrated on November 11th,  1918. It was to remember and honour those men who have served in our armed services. As I was remembering yesterday, I prayed that God would keep those who are in the army in the present safe, open their eyes to the truth, and help them believe in Him and keep fighting hard for our country. I thanked Him for the freedom He has given us, and asked Him to keep my country free.

Last of all, I want to share the poem,”In  Flanders Fields”

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
